Comfort from the top down.

At Reformation General Contracting, attic insulation isn’t just about R-value—it’s about year-round comfort, lower bills, and a home that feels balanced in every room. We air-seal first, then install high-quality blown insulation so your home performs like it should.

Our “Seal-Then-Insulate” Process

  • Depth readings, existing R-value, moisture check, bath fan terminations, and ventilation review.

  • Top plates, plumbing/electrical penetrations, recessed lights (IC-rated covers), bath fan housings, flue/chimney chases (with proper clearances).

  • Install baffles at eaves to keep soffits open; verify ridge/box vents.

  • Even coverage to your target R-value with marked rulers and a depth map.

  • Photos, ventilation re-check, and clean-up. Optional blower-door test referral on request.

Do you have enough insulation in your attic?

Graphic comparing attic insulation levels: 4–7″ (R-15/R-21) = under-insulated; 13–14″ (R-38) and 16–18″ (R-49) = recommended coverage above joists

Warmer in winter. Cooler in summer.

Your attic is the most cost-effective and efficient place to lock in year-round comfort. Here in Central Ohio (Columbus/Dayton), which falls within Zone 5, the recommended insulation level is R49–R60—equivalent to roughly 16–18 inches of standard loose-fill insulation. Whether we’re topping off your existing insulation or starting from scratch, we ensure your home stops wasting money on heating or cooling the open sky above.

Why are the bedrooms never the right temperature?
